2. Data processed when visiting the website
When the website is accessed, the server processes connection data that is technically required, in particular the IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. The processing is necessary to provide the website securely and without errors and is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log data is stored only for as long as necessary for operation, troubleshooting and protection against misuse; in the event of a security incident, it may be retained until the matter has been resolved.
3. Booking and transport
For enquiries, price calculation, booking and performance of the journey, we process the information you provide: name, email address, telephone number, pickup and destination addresses, date and time, number of passengers and items of luggage, child seats, flight number and voluntary messages. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Required information may be shared with the driver or transport partner used where necessary to perform the journey.
4. Customer account and communication
When you register and use the customer account, we process login, profile and booking data to provide the account and manage your bookings in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. When you contact us, we process your contact details and the content of your message in order to handle your enquiry. Depending on the enquiry, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
5. Payment processing
Where online payment is offered, it is processed through Stripe. Stripe processes the data required for payment on its own responsibility or as a service provider. In particular, we receive the payment status, amount and payment reference, but no complete card or bank account details. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; billing data required by law is processed in accordance with Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
6. Google Maps
Google Maps is used on the website to display the airport, railway stations and meeting points. When the map is loaded, the IP address and device and usage data in particular may be transmitted to Google. Processing takes place to provide a user-friendly display of locations and routes and is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where consent is required to store or access information on your device, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with section 25(1) TDDDG also applies.
7. Country of origin and currency
The approximate country of origin may be determined from the IP address in order to suggest a suitable language or currency. This does not determine your precise location. The selected currency may be stored technically in the browser. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
8. Cookies and browser storage
We use technically necessary cookies and local or session-based browser storage, for example for login, booking drafts, language and currency. These functions are based on section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and, where personal data is processed, on Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We do not use analytics or advertising tracking.
9. Recipients and international transfers
Recipients may include hosting and IT service providers, payment service providers, drivers or transport partners used, and public authorities and advisers where this is necessary for performance of the contract, operation or compliance with legal obligations. When services from international providers such as Google or Stripe are used, processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. This occurs only in accordance with the legal requirements, in particular an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Retention period
We store personal data only for as long as it is required for the respective purpose. Booking, contract and payment data is subsequently retained in accordance with commercial and tax-law retention requirements, generally for up to ten years depending on the document. Account data is stored until the account is deleted unless statutory obligations or outstanding claims require further retention. Consent records are retained until consent is withdrawn and subsequently only to the extent legally required as evidence of consent.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, write to info@berlintaxiairport.de.
12. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is, in particular, the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, datenschutz-berlin.de.
13. Required information and automated decision-making
Booking data marked as required is needed to conclude the contract and perform the journey. Without this data, a booking may not be processed. No decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place.
14. Data security and version
We protect personal data using appropriate technical and organisational measures. Data is transmitted in encrypted form using SSL/TLS. This Privacy Policy was last updated on 6 September 2026.
